The CPDA region is home to a regional acute care hospital, Canada's only provincial firefighter training institute, and a college offering degrees in nursing, trades, and technology — all within one community. For families and professionals relocating from out of province, the infrastructure is already here.
Founded in 2023 through the merger of Cumberland College and Parkland College, Suncrest College is now one of Saskatchewan's most innovative regional post-secondary institutions — and it calls Yorkton home.
Suncrest College delivers university degrees in partnership with the University of Saskatchewan and University of Regina, alongside trades training, health sciences, and one-of-a-kind programs you can't find anywhere else in the province. With 74 active applied research projects and international partnerships spanning Jamaica, Kenya, Tanzania, Belize, and South Africa — this is not a small regional college. It's a genuine institution.
Programs at Suncrest are designed around real regional workforce needs. Every graduate enters a market that is actively recruiting — businesses in the area provide practicum placements and hire Suncrest graduates directly.
